Bricks/Tiles/Plasters
Bricks are classified in different strength classes according to their determined compressive strength.
The compressive strength of bricks can be tested according to standardized procedures with our servo hydraulic compression testing machines. In order to resist possible explosive fracture the machines have to be equipped with a reinforced load frame and a special adapted ball seat.
Tiles will usually be tested in a flexural testing machine with forces between 10 and 50 kN,
The strength of paving stones will mostly be determined by a splitting tensile test using a special test device, as per DIN EN 1338 within a load frame of our testing machine
