Description
Design
The ToniCAL Trio Model 7339 is a further development of the proved ToniCAL Model 7338. It consists of a two piece control device in a support and a separated round calorimeter vessel with housing made of stainless steel.
Integrated into the control device are:
An electronic thermostat to guarantee a constant temperature of the measuring vessel and in the measu ring cells
An electric calibration unit with access to each measu ring cell
Three high stable, three step, switchable measuring amplifier for the thermo signal voltage which has to be measured
Three indications for the thermo signal with an RS232 computer interface, one indication for the temperature in the measuring vessel
In the calorimeter vessel are placed:
Three thermal insolated measuring cells with each two measuring chambers for the placement of the measuring and the inert sample and the corresponding sensors for detection of the thermal voltage
The sensors between measuring and inert sample which are connected in difference
One central and three radial heat sources placed op posite to the axis of the measuring cells
Three independent acting feeding devices for the con stant and quick mixing of the reaction partners within the three sample vessels
Working Principle
A defined quantity of the pulverized sample portion is filled in a thin walled measuring vessel (test glass and placed in one of the three measuring cells in the calori meter vessel. A further vessel (injection syringe) with the fluid portion is integrated into each sample vessel. Simul taneously or timely independent two or three measuring cells can be filled with the same or different materials.
A totally tempered inert sample with the same filling height and an empty fluid vessel is allocated to each measuring chamber. After the thermal balance is rea ched in the measuring cell(s) the both reaction partners (normally binding building materials and distilled water) will be mixed under pressure within few seconds.Using an optional later injection module, designed for two fluid vessels, a further reaction partner (additive as BV, FM or others) can be dosed later and mixed with the ductile sample by the aid of a manually operated agitator rod. Directly with the mixing of the reaction partners starts the continuous recording of the thermo voltage [mV] as measure for the produced quantity of heat.
All measured values, graphics and test parameters will be stored in a database and can be exported.
The complete data detection and evaluation for the test is realized by the software ToniDCA which can be installed on a common PX system (limited IBM) from Pentium II with the operation systems Windows 95/98/2000/NT/XP.
