Description

Design

The compression test machine ToniCON consists of a rigid, four-column load frame in space-saving compact design. The stainless steel columns are clamped free of play with the bottom part. Base mounted actuator with plunger piston. The hardened piston and the cylinder are precision-grinded. The piston is equipped with a protection gap to prevent the hydraulic from contamination. The hydraulic elements, the servo valve for bypass control, the pressure oil unit as well as the power supply aggregates are installed in the power unit on the right. A radial piston pump with a flow rate of 1.4 l/min delivers a pressure up to max. 450 bar. The digital measuring and control system ToniTROL is mounted on top of the control tower.

Operating Principle

The load frame is connected to the digital control system. Tests are prepared, performed, monitored and evaluated via software and controlled by a servo valve in a closed loop. Load measuring with precision oil pressure transducer. The measurement values are directly A/D converted and transmitted via CAN bus to the ToniTROL.

 

Optional Ball Seats and Pressure Plates

Compression device for tests on cylinders 2“ and 3“.
Oil-filled upper ball seat in accordance to quality standard EN 12390-4 Appendix A, for minimizing the standard deviation by complying to the constructive requirements of the ASTM C 39 (spherical ball seat and pressure platens diameter appropriate for samples 4“ and 6“).
