Application
The Le Chatelier water bath allows a controlled boiling of cement samples using Le Chatelier moulds (needles). The soundness test is used to determine the possible risk of delayed expansion of cement due to hydration.
The water bath corresponds exactly to the requirements of the standard EN 196-3 and performs an autonomous and controlled test cycle.
Key benefits for the user:
✓ fully automatic test cycles with parameters for different requirements
✓ after sample preparation, the instrument works without any operator interference until the end of the cycle
✓ controlled autonomous test procedure for accurate reproducible test conditions
✓ designed for easy maintenance and cleaning
✓ integrated water outlet for a quick change of the water
✓ the test cycle can be performed using water or steam
✓ continuous indication of the actual temperature for visual check
✓ heating up from 20°C to boiling temperature within 30 min ± 5 min
✓ stable temperature at boiling conditions during three hours
✓ strengthened insulation; the outer walls of the water bath remain cold
✓ evaporation is limited due to a precise temperature regulation
